DEAR FRIENDS,
TURNAROUND TUESDAY LAUNCHED GLOBALLY ON 11-11 at the Global Prophetic Summit, hosted by Mike and Cindy Jacobs. Lou Engle initiated this call in a fiery message in which he prophetically commanded the body of Christ to war for our sons and daughters. He shared the story of our son’s dramatic turnaround after a year of “Turnaround Tuesday” prayer. Cindy Jacobs called Jolene and me up to pray and seal the release. 

And thanks to high level prophets representing 20 nations, as well as a global online audience, Turnaround Tuesday has instantly become a global phenomenon! 

Lamplighter family, we’ve been talking about the potential for this for a while now. Lou Engle called us in mid-June. Out of the middle of nowhere. As we shared in our relaunch posting, Lou and Therese had been praying that morning and received a very similar word to our “Turnaround Tuesday” mandate. When mutual friend Cheryl Amabile heard Lou describe it, she immediately referenced our Turnaround Tuesday prayer projects and the miracle salvation that accompanied it. 

Then last week at the ACPE, our paths crossed in an unmistakeable, sovereign-hand-of-God kind of way. We cut out time early Wednesday morning to connect. Amazingly, just a few hours before, Lou’s wife Therese called to tell him how mutual friends had heard the Lord say to take every Tuesday to pray for their children. Like just the day before!

Can’t make this stuff up. 

Lou was literally scheduled to launch the Global Prophetic Summit. And he completely shifted his message to TURNAROUND TUESDAY. Such a fiery word on the Elijah call to contend for our children and rescue them from the grip of the enemy!

Again. Very simply, you cannot make this stuff up. 

Before I go on, LAMPLIGHTER FAMILY YOU HAVE BEEN THE FORERUNNERS OF THIS MOVEMENT. Not a coincidence it was birthed with Heaven’s grace—and then went global instantly! Our gratitude is immeasurable. And so is your reward from the Throne.

Now, lets do this together!

Here are three major goals to achieve together.
1. LETS CONTEND! This movement is at the core of a holy uprising by parents to rescue their children from the abhorrent dictates thrust upon them in this season. Lets engage together in fasting and prayer each Tuesday for our sons and daughters. Set your course now to engage both immediately and long-term. Pray not only for your children, but for the Turnaround Tuesday movement to flourish and expand.

Note that special “Turnaround Tuesday” calls are in the works. We are projected to begin on Tuesday, November 30, the night before the Supreme Court hearing on the Mississippi abortion case. It’s also the second night of Hanukkah. Mark your calendars now! 

2. START A GROUP! Get with your friends and establish prayer together every Tuesday. Encourage your pastors to start Turnaround Tuesday prayer meetings. 

3. SPREAD THE WORD! Overload the inboxes of leaders and friends with this post and others. Pass it on through social media. Write your own post. Get it out!

4. SHARE YOUR TESTIMONY! Maybe you have a story of God’s dramatic intervention for your son or daughter. Write it up and share it! A new website is going up as soon as we can put it together, and we’d like to showcase many of your stories. 

5. LETS COME TOGETHER IN OUR GIVING! Obviously funding is needed immediately. Infrastructure for the Turnaround Tuesday project, including prayer calls, the new website, videos, graphics, and communications nationally and internationally, must be built with excellence. Please sow to the Spirit and lets together reap the harvest so profoundly close to Jesus’ heart!

I know this is a lot to absorb. So let me close with a final prophetic story.

Last Tuesday, a day before Lou and I talked, the Lord gave me a vision. I was worshiping during the opening of the GPC, eyes closed and hands up in front of me. My eyes opened, only to see a NEWBORN BABY cradled in my hands! The child was dressed in blue and was sleeping soundly. Not knowing what the Lord was saying or even what to do, I raised this baby in my hands and committed him to the Lord. 

Our prophetic roundtable had fervently prayed the day before over the abortion issue. We sought the Lord to annul covenants with death and hell empowering abortion at a root level. I felt the sudden appearance of this baby was Heaven’s confirmation that the shift has been mandated—and backed by God’s own hand—from death to LIFE. Cindy invited me to share the vision with the prophets gathered. 

Lou Engle actually referred to the vision during our meeting. “Jon, maybe the child you saw is actually this turnaround movement!” And all I could say is YES…

“Sing o barren woman, break forth into shouts of joy, for more are the children of the desolate woman than the children of the married wife. Expand the curtains of your tent. Lengthen your cords and strengthen your stakes. You will break forth to the right and to the left, and your offspring will possess the nations!” (Isaiah 54).

DEAR FRIENDS,
IT WAS THE SOUND EVERY PARENT DREADS. When my daughter was around four years old, she slipped on stairs to the basement. Seemingly endless thumps accompanied piercing screams. I raced down the stairs after her, praying like a madman. I was completely surprised to find my daughter relatively calm at the foot of the stairs, seemingly barely harmed!

All at once, right in the midst of this crisis, Holy Spirit spoke to me a Scripture. “Isaiah 49:25” flashed through my mind. 

I immediately thought, “Lord, I’m kind of busy here, got my hands full, could you not just tell me the verse?” But that didn’t happen. Instead I rushed my daughter to a local hospital just to make sure she was okay. After a thorough evaluation the doctors could not find even a fracture. 

It wasn’t until later that night, just before bed, that I finally had the time to look up the passage. Keep in mind this incident occurred long before mobile phones or Rabbi Google could provide instant results with little effort. I did something that might give most of us pause today. I grabbed an actual Bible. With pages!

The contents discovered were breathtaking given the circumstances. “I will contend with the one who contends with you, and I will save your children!” (Isaiah 49:25). As I prayed, it became clear that this was more than a scripture over a situation. It was a covenant promise from the Lord. And that the Lord gave this covenant promise to carry us through the rest of our lives. 

“I will contend.” From this time forward I knew God was promising to take the initiative in the healing, deliverance, and blessing of my children. Little did I know how much more I would need this covenant promise from the Lord later in their lives. It soon carried me, and especially my children, through challenges we could then barely even imagine. Rebellion. Discord. Demonic attacks. Damages to heart and soul were all ahead. Yet God remained utterly faithful. And again and again He has brought a turnaround where there seemed to be no way forward!

Let me be clear, just because the Lord promises to intervene does not mean we had no responsibility in the matter. Instead the opposite is true. The spiritual conflict Jolene and I had to engage in and overcome was some of the highest we have ever experienced. It actually prepared us for national battles. 

And honestly, if we had not had the promise that the Lord was going to pull our kids through, we would probably have given up long before gaining the victory. 

But the other aspect of this is that both the wars and victories belonged to the Lord, not to us. We brought love and discipline. But like every parent, sometimes we failed. The promise that the Lord would contend, and save our children, meant that He was the one in charge of the battle. And that His pathway included mending and repairing damage we tried to prevent. 

That’s really difficult, especially as parents. But we realized that many times the greatest weapon of warfare was simply let go in the natural and trust Him to fulfill His promise His way. 

IT WAS THE MOMENT EVERY PARENT DREAMS OF. My daughter, a new graduate from high school, sat us down to ask our perspective on plans she had made for the future. She had decided to pursue a career in the military. “Pray for me, I’m going into the Air Force,” she said. Then there was a short pause followed by a flash of a smile. “No wait. Pray for the AIR FORCE, because I’m going into the Air Force!”

We all laughed around the table. Probably because there might have been at least a little truth in the statement. I knew just what to pray. Lord, contend with those who contend against my daughter, in the spirit and natural! Deliver her from all harm. Mature her in You. Save our children. AND SAVE THE AIR FORCE!” 

Challenges indeed arose. But through it all my daughter really did well. She matured greatly. She mastered new skills in a field that now has become her career. She prospered. During her time of service my daughter met and married a fantastic, highly responsible man who loves her wholeheartedly and treats her far better than any guy she dated before. They are secure, stable, and hilarious together. A few years ago they even gave us a beautiful grandchild.

My point? When God promises to contend and save, He goes far beyond what we could imagine. This is absolutely true with both of our children. 

One recent conversation brought me to tears. It went something like this. 

“Dad, do you remember when we were little and you brought us to Washington DC and we toured the National Mall and all the memorials and I complained because I thought the mall you were bringing us to would actually have stores?”

“Uh… yeah, as a matter of fact I do.”

“And I judged you for being excessively, overly patriotic ever since?” 

My face turned red. I hoped she did not notice. “Well… yeah.”

“Dad I just want you to know, after being in the Air Force I get it now. I really do. I appreciate like never before the sacrifices made to keep nation free.”

That meant everything to me. Now let me tell you a secret I’ve discovered. The same God who is bigger than the unforeseen challenges my children would face is also bigger than the challenges we as a nation face. The promise remains the same. So does the pathway through to salvation.

“Even the captives of the mighty man will be taken away, and the prey of a tyrant will be rescued; for I will contend with the one who contends with you, and I will save your children” (Isaiah 49:25).

BEGINNING 7-22! Ancient of Days Tour—Alaska, West Coast

DEAR FRIENDS,
FIRST—Jolene and I are blessing you from Sarasota. We experienced such a powerful “glory shift” in Fort Myers over this past week. God came powerfully. And this made all the difference. Thank you for your prayers!

TODAY MARKS OUR FIRST TURNAROUND TUESDAY! The immediacy of our pursuit is in response to a radically unexpected prophetic word Lou and Therese Engle gave us recently. They took the time to call us personally, and I really appreciate it! Amazingly, they had earlier received a very specific word about “Turnaround Tuesdays” to contend for the next generation!

This project is focused on two key goals. First, we will be praying for our sons and daughters in the spirit and natural to come fully into alignment with God’s heart and destiny for them. Many will be contending for our moms and dads as well!

Second we are praying Isaiah 22 over our governmental seats of authority, seeking the Lord to remove the “Shebnas” and establish His “Eliakims” in rulership—those who will genuinely serve as mothers and fathers to their cities, states and nation.

Lamplighter family, Jolene and I are asking you to take an entire month, centered on focused intercession every Tuesday, for turnaround prayer. Then on 7-22 we are going to introduce the project nationally. And at least through November 8, 2022 we will engaging with the Lord every Tuesday in turnaround prayer. Our dream is this project catches fire throughout every church and prayer movement nationally. Please pray for this! 

Lessons from the Jesus Revolution
Because America right now truly stands in the balance. Our covenantal inheritance as a nation is far more vulnerable now than most leaders care to admit. We as a nation seem to be in a time similar to the 1960s, when new levels of sin and vileness became embraced as a cultural norm. The occult and even satanism went mainstream. Sexual sin became celebrated, with protective purity discarded and “free love” embraced as a socially viable lifestyle. This destroyed countless marriages and families. Fathers fled. Children were often the most impacted, infusing despondency and anger into successive generations. All the while extreme drug use mesmerized the masses and thwarted the true potential of countless people. 

And a generation who previously considered Judeo-Christian values normative found themselves suddenly on the precipice. 

Then God broke in with a Jesus Revolution. A massive tsunami of evangelism swept in multitudes. California coasts were filled with baptism services. New wineskins such as the Vineyard movement sprang up. Revelation on spiritual warfare, apostolic and prophetic ministry expanded our horizons. Instantaneous healings and deliverances became normative. And Billy Graham filled stadiums as a nation turned to Jesus. 

What sparked this Revolution? Pre-eminently, a massive wave of prayer. Fathers and mothers, grandfathers and grandmothers, teachers and leaders fell to their faces and engaged with God over their children. Their intercession forged a Glory pathway for revival to sweep the land. 

Contending for Destiny
God is restoring His glory. We have consistently experienced greater moves of Holy Spirit during this most recent Glory Train journey than any time before. Yet we are also keenly aware that a tremendous battle is once again being waged over the inheritance of our nation. 

We cannot expect another Jesus Revolution when we only softly contend for the destinies of our children, naturally and spiritually. Once again it is time for mothers and fathers in Jesus to rise up and engage. It’s turnaround time!

Remember how the Lord highlighted Isaiah 54 earlier this year. When read through this lens, the whole chapter focuses on turnaround for the Bride and her children—for ensuing generations! Jolene and I STRONGLY SUGGEST using Isaiah 54 as a prayer guide for the project. Devour this chapter! Read it out loud. Write down the key points the Lord highlights personally to you. And pray!

“All your sons will be taught by the Lord; and the well-being (shalom) of your sons will be great!” (Isaiah 54:13)

Proven Results
As mentioned, this launch today is primarily for the Lamplighter family so that we can “get in the flow” before launching on a broader level nationally on 7-22. Towards this end I want to remind you of our first year-long “Turnaround Tuesdays” project. We prayed from Christmas Day 2014 to Christmas Day 2015. As Mom and Dad to the Lamplighter family, Bill and Marlene Brubaker took the lead. We saw tremendous breakthroughs across the nation. I believe this year of contending even contributed to the massive governmental turnaround we recently experienced. 

But the greatest turnarounds were actually very personal, from family to family. Here’s just one story. For discretion’s sake I won’t go into details. But on Christmas Day 2015, one year to the date from the beginning of the project, our son experienced a visitation in which the Lord Jesus Christ summoned him to “return home” to Him. This actually occurred in my father’s house in Sarasota as we celebrated Christmas as a family. 

Please get this. One year to the date of the Turnaround Tuesday launch, on the day we celebrate the birth of Christ, our son was born again!  

If it can happen to our son, it can happen to your sons and daughters too. Remember the Lord loves each one of them even more than you do. He can make a way!

So join us please. Lamplighter family, please the next 30 days for concentrated turnaround prayer. Every Tuesday especially! Tell your friends in Jesus about the effort, and invite them to connect. And lets contend together. Remember—covenant with God unlocks both glory and inheritance, personally and nationally. Truly it is time for a turnaround. NO KING BUT JESUS!

“I kept watching, and that horn was waging war with the saints and prevailing against them, until the Ancient of Days came and judgment was passed in favor of the [x]saints of the Highest One, and the time arrived when the saints took possession of the kingdom” (Dan. 7:22).
