DEAR FRIENDS,
YESTERDAY WE CONNECTED WITH YOU about the global launch of Turnaround Tuesday on 2-22. We are honored and excited about this! Now I want to invite you into forerunning prayer for turnaround—for yourselves and family, and for your world. The Open Door Project begins next Wednesday, 2-2, and culminates on Tuesday, 2-22.
Today as a foretaste we are featuring perhaps the most important revelation I have yet read about 2022. And it came from my wife.
The day 2-22-22 is demarcated by the Lord to convey how a door is opening for great Kingdom advancement. Here’s another way to put it. On 2-2 the door opens to get on board the train, preparing for a journey that’s guaranteed to be far more than we bargained for. That’s a word from the Lord.
And on 2-22-2022 the train begins to roll.
On last week’s call we mentioned Jolene’s prophetic experience where the Lord showed her an open door to encounter God and His Throne. She actually wrote a chapter about this in our book, and in preparation for the project we are sharing with you a brief excerpt.
Jolene—A Door Stands Open
(Excerpts from Turnaround Decrees)
Fast forward to 3:20 am in early January, 2022. That’s when Jolene spoke to me in her sleep, “Someone’s knocking at the door!” It turned out she was having a significant encounter with God, profound in its implications and activated in real-time. Here’s Jolene’s story, in her own words.
In early January 2022 I (Jolene) had the most amazing experience. It was a dream but more than a dream, it was a prophetic encounter where I was hearing clearly in the spirit realm. I dreamed that I was hearing a faint knock at my front door. I was thinking in the dream that someone should go answer. The knock came a second time, and this time it was much louder. In my dream it became clear to me that I was the one who was to answer the door. Preparing to get up, I looked at the clock on my phone and saw that it was exactly 3:20 am. I knew in my spirit that I was hearing Revelation 3:20 in a very intimate experience with my Savior.
The experience was so real that I began to head for the door to answer. It took me a minute to focus, and realize that there was really no one at the door at 3:20 in the morning. At least nobody we would actually want to welcome. As in many experiences sometimes I just know things. In this experience I knew Revelation 3:20 and subsequent verses were being highlighted by the Lord. Behold I stand at the door and knock reverberated in the spirit. Loud and clear. I grabbed my Bible to get more understanding and see what the Lord would show me further.
Reading the verse I was astonished. “Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in and dine with him, and he with Me.” It was as if the Lord was literally knocking at my door!
Later in the morning I continued praying through the experience. Revelation 3:20 was cross-referenced with another key scripture, Luke 12:36,37. I want to start at verse 34 for clarification of the passage.
“For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also. Let your waist be girded and your lamps burning; and you yourselves be like men who wait for their master, when he will return from the wedding, that when he comes and knocks they may open to him immediately. Blessed are those servants whom the master , when he comes, will find watching. Assuredly I say to you that he will gird himself and have them sit down to eat, and will come to serve them” (Luke 12:34-37).
The experience continued and I knew it then transitioned to Revelation 4.
After these things I looked, and behold A DOOR STANDING OPEN in heaven. And the first voice which I heard was like a trumpet speaking with me, saying “Come up here, and I will show you things which must take place after this.”
I have learned when I have these experiences to sit with the Lord and commune with Him over them. I want to share with you what I feel Jesus is emphasizing through this experience. First, the time I had this dream was during the last watch of the night. This watch is the one that ends the night season and sets the atmosphere for the new day.
Jon keeps saying that we’re moving through the midnight hour. We are ending the night season we have all been in, and lessons learned through this dream will set up the atmosphere for our new day that is dawning.
Secondly the dream is sequential in many ways. It is about having ears to hear. The knocks became louder, and the intentionality became stronger, with each progressive knock. The whole scripture is calling forth “he who has ears to hear.” It was important that, although I heard the first faint knock. I did not respond. I thought someone else would answer, someone who was closer to the door and could do it easier because it would have been more convenient for them.
But the knock was not for them, it was for me. It wasn’t enough to hear both knocks. The Lord was looking for a response. Just like in Song of Solomon 5:4-5:6 where Jesus was by the latch of the door and although she was yearning for him she waited too long and he was gone. His yearning is shown in his knock… louder and louder he knocks with urgency. He loves the inconvenient times, my hesitation to answer at that hour is very telling.
With that in mind it is interesting to note the scriptural context of this experience. It is given in the midst of the rebuke to the Laodicean church. The one that is neither hot nor cold, the one who thinks they are rich and need nothing although they are naked, poor and blind from the Lord’s perspective. He counsels them to buy gold refined in the fire. The fire, the flame that so many of us are unfortunately standing afar off from. The flame that we have let dim. Not because we don’t love him but more because the flame has dimmed in the waiting and in the disappointment.
Maybe you can identify. You hear the knock, whatever way the Lord communicates it to you, but figure someone else should answer. Maybe you think to yourself, Would someone closer, someone more qualified, please answer the door!
Maybe for you this story itself is a knock at your door. Don’t wait for someone else to respond. You open the door for Him Answering the knock more quickly is what the Lord wants of us all. If we make the effort, the corresponding promise is that He will come and dine with us! He will draw close in a personal way to you, dine with you, commune with you.
It is interesting that the passage in Luke talks about Jesus girding himself and serving us at the dinner table. I don’t so much want to be served by Him as much as I want to sit with him, dine with him, be loved by him.
Unfortunately as we let the flame dim, or as we back down our desire to reduce the pain, we lose the opportunity to make it to the Revelation 4 experience. The door that stands open in heaven, the voice that is as loud as a trumpet, the ascending before the Throne to see. It’s in this place place where the voice is crystal clear, the visions come with much greater clarity. It’s the place where we begin to be future-oriented instead of looking at the past.
And this one is really key for today. The door opens to the place where real-time revelation, and even end-time revelation is suddenly unsealed right in front of you.
That is the experience the Apostle John received. John begins the description of his experience with an unusual phrase. “After these things I looked…”
Like the Apostle John, we really need to get to the “after these things” part. Where we can look, we can see and we can know things with certainty.
The next verse says, “Immediately I was in the spirit. And behold a throne…” From where I sit this is what is opening to us in 2022. The door is open and we are being called up higher to see, to hear, and to interact more intimately with our Lord. It says He will show us things! Our entire walk so far has been for this season. I declare we are there and it is going to be the most amazing season. But first we need to repent and cleanse ourselves from past traumas and disappointments. We need to light the flame again!
